She believes every individual deserves the opportunity to achieve balanced mental wellness and live their best life. Jenny is licensed to treat residents of Florida and Iowa (via telehealth).
Licensed Mental Health Counselor & Qualified Supervisor
Jocelyn discovered early on the power of creativity as both a refuge and a source of healing. While studying at the University of South Carolina, she found her passion for art therapy and went on to earn a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute.
Her clinical experience spans a wide range of populations and settings. She has worked with geriatric clients, led art therapy groups for individuals in substance use detoxification, and built a strong foundation in forensic treatment through nearly five years with the Florida Department of Children and Families. In that role, Jocelyn facilitated groups and individual sessions while developing expertise in crisis de-escalation, ethical boundaries, and behavioral observation.
In 2022, Jocelyn joined Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where she expanded her practice to include group therapy and expressive therapies across inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care. This role allowed her to sharpen diagnostic skills and adapt therapeutic approaches to diverse populations, deepening her focus on bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, and the identification of psychotic symptoms.
Passionate about making therapy both effective and engaging, in 2025, Jocelyn founded Paint Your Progress where she offers therapeutic services and provides continuing education for clinicians who share a passion for creativity in therapy. The goal is to offer a safe, comfortable, and engaging therapeutic space—where progress can also be fun!
