What We Do

Our Services

Psychiatric Evaluation

Every client begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation conducted by a licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner. This 60-minute assessment is the foundation of your mental health journey and includes a thorough review of your behavioral health history, past diagnoses, medical background, and current concerns. We take a personalized approach to understand each individual’s unique experiences, ensuring your voice is heard and your needs are clearly identified. The outcome of the evaluation is a customized treatment plan designed to support your mental wellness and long-term stability. Whether you’re seeking help for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or other mental health challenges, this evaluation ensures your care begins with a strong clinical understanding. All treatment recommendations are discussed with informed consent, and our team works with you to determine the next best steps in your behavioral health care.

Medication Management

For clients who may benefit from psychotropic medications, we offer ongoing medication management as part of a comprehensive behavioral health treatment plan. Our licensed psychiatric providers use a “less is more” philosophy—prescribing thoughtfully and responsibly to support symptom relief and emotional balance without overmedication. We focus on helping you feel like yourself again by monitoring your progress, adjusting doses as needed, and addressing any side effects or concerns along the way. Medication is often just one component of a well-rounded mental health care approach, and we encourage its use alongside therapy, lifestyle changes, and other wellness tools. Whether you are managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, or another condition, we help ensure that your treatment is safe, effective, and aligned with your personal goals for mental wellness.

Supportive Psychoeducation

Supportive psychoeducation is an empowering behavioral health service that combines elements of therapy and mental health education to help clients better understand their conditions and how to manage them. These sessions are built into appointments where appropriate, focusing on developing coping skills, improving emotional resilience, and offering tools for navigating life with a mental health diagnosis. Clients will learn how lifestyle factors—such as sleep, nutrition, stress, and relationships—affect psychological health. This service is ideal for individuals who are new to behavioral health treatment or those seeking to reinforce therapy work through practical, everyday strategies. Unlike traditional talk therapy, supportive psychoeducation is short-form and goal-directed, providing education that enhances understanding and fosters mental wellness over time.

Individual Psychotherapy

Our individual psychotherapy sessions offer a safe, one-on-one space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences with a licensed therapist. Whether you’re facing chronic stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges, therapy provides the tools and support needed to build resilience and foster behavioral change. We provide referrals to vetted licensed individual therapists who use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients better manage symptoms and reframe negative thinking patterns. Sessions are typically held weekly or biweekly, depending on the client’s needs and treatment plan. Even if you’re already receiving psychiatric medication, therapy is often a key part of an integrated behavioral health care model. Clients enrolled in Medication-Assisted Therapy (MAT) are automatically referred to individual therapy to increase their chances of successful, long-term recovery.

Medication-Assisted Therapy (MAT)

Medication-Assisted Therapy (MAT) is a structured behavioral health program designed to support clients struggling with alcohol use disorder or opioid use disorder. Using FDA-approved medications such as naltrexone or Vivitrol—combined with regular psychotherapy and recovery resources—MAT helps reduce cravings, prevent relapse, and support sustainable sobriety. This service is ideal for clients who may not be able to attend inpatient treatment programs but still need medical support to maintain abstinence. Our MAT program emphasizes a whole-person approach, integrating mental health counseling, peer support groups like AA, and lifestyle coaching to address both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction. While we do not prescribe Suboxone at our clinic, we are happy to refer clients to trusted community providers who do. MAT can be a transformative step toward healing for those navigating substance use as part of their behavioral health journey.

Long-Acting Injectables (LAI)

Long-Acting Injectables (LAI) offer a convenient and effective way to manage severe mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder. These injectable medications are typically administered once monthly and are an excellent alternative for individuals who struggle with daily oral medication adherence. LAIs promote consistent symptom control, reduce the risk of relapse, and improve long-term behavioral health outcomes by ensuring uninterrupted treatment. Before initiating LAI services, clients must be established with our clinic for at least six months to ensure medical appropriateness and treatment readiness. LAIs are part of our broader psychiatric services and are ideal for clients seeking stability in their mental health care. We carefully monitor each client’s progress and collaborate with them to determine the right course of treatment for optimal psychological wellness.

Telehealth Services

Accessing quality mental health care shouldn’t be limited by geography or circumstance. That’s why we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services to residents of Iowa and Florida. Whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or other behavioral health concerns, our virtual appointments allow you to receive personalized care from the comfort of your home. Telehealth is ideal for clients with busy schedules, limited transportation, or mobility challenges. All services—including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy—can be delivered remotely without compromising the quality of care. Our platform is simple, confidential, and designed to keep you connected to your provider when and where it works best for you. We believe that accessible care is essential to strong mental health—and our telehealth model helps make that possible.

Coordination of Care

Integrated care is at the heart of effective behavioral health treatment. Our coordination of care services ensure that your mental health journey is supported by a collaborative team that includes your primary care provider, therapist, psychiatrist, and any other specialists involved in your wellness. We facilitate communication across disciplines to provide seamless continuity of care, ensuring that no part of your mental health or medical care is overlooked. Whether you need a referral for psychological testing, a residential treatment center, or partial hospitalization, we can connect you to trusted community resources. Our goal is to create a connected support system that empowers you and provides comprehensive, wraparound services. Behavioral health thrives when care is not fragmented—and our team works hard to make sure your care is unified, compassionate, and effective.

Why Choose Us?

Multi-Disciplinary Approach

We believe in using a multidisciplinary well-rounded approach to treatment. We make efforts to utilize the minimum effective dose of medication alongside healthy coping skills, developing support systems, and other social and cognitive based solutions. This “start low, go slow” philosophy reduces the risks for medication interactions or side effects, which can occur especially in patients with multiple conditions. Your care will require commitment and transparency on your part with your providers, just like what we promise to deliver to you in return.
